    Xbox one continually disconnects from controllers and XBL


    when I'm playing online this is what happens persistently:

    Both my controllers start to blink simultaneously, I get a message saying my controllers are not connected, then depending on the game I either get booted from the game because *I'm told* I have no connection to XBL or in certain games (like rocket league)
    I don't get booted but i get massive lag and the internet symbol flashes meaning I have a connection problem.

    If I immediately go to the home screen it says I'm not connected to XBL but by the time I click on settings to check my connection it says I'm connected to Wi-Fi and my connection is ok.

    I'm just looking for a direction to go here because it's becoming unplayable. I have no issue with the Wi-Fi on any of my other devices. I have my controller plugged into the wall for power and still loses connection (to make sure it wasn't a power issue).
    Does this sound like a problem that may need repair of some kind?

    I have noticed that on my 360 I seem to get disconnected a lot from XBL but on the xbox one I never have that problem

    Xbox live connection error

    That modem is known to have XBL connection issues. See, for example,
    forums.att.com/.../3163675    . You may need to bridge the modem and buy a compatible wireless router.

    I suppose what you could in that situation is get to the shooting area, quit out, disconnect from XBL, load up your game, get the drake sword then quit out and reconnect to XBL or just continue on your way.

    Does the controller turn on both consoles as well? I can think of two possible alternate explanations:

    1. Your controller is connected to a specific XBL profile, which is logged onto or connected to both consoles.

    Try removing the profile from one of the consoles, and see if this fixes the issue.

    2. Someone has synced your controller to the other console without your knowledge.

    I would recommend disconnecting the controller from both consoles. Disconnect the Xbox you don't want to be controlled by your controller from it's power source. Then resync your controller to the other Xbox.

    "am I being stupid".... No, everyone has trouble from time to time. But, let me suggest following up with a couple of things, "Connect a wireless
    Xbox One controller to your console    " and "Xbox One Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect" . Let us know if you continue to have
    issues connecting the controller to your Xbox.

    Hey Unreal Warfare, currently tons of users with the 1409 are experiencing controller disconnects. I am only 7 feet away from my Xbox One and mine continues to disconnect multiple times a day. I was told by (Official Staff) Happy Sanitorium and SpikiestWharf
    that the Xbox Team is investigating this issue.

    Perhaps this issue is correlated with your disconnects as well.

    Controller disconnects from Xbox live continuously

    Try hooking the controller up wired to the Xbox with NO BATTERIES for about 15 minutes. Then try it again. If it still keeps disconnecting you, you might have a full cache that will need to be cleared.

    Head over to Settings>System>Storage. Find the tab that says "Clear local saved games" then hit "Yes" no worries, it will not delete and saves or games off the Xbox or the cloud. This should help!
