  1. Xbox One content licence transfer

    Hi,

Reading eh Xbox support threads about this, and there is some information for Xbox 360, but I can't see for Xbox One.

My question concerns digital download content accessed via a redemption code.

I bought a download content game accessed via a redemption code but no longer wish to play it. Am I able to sell the title on and for another gamertag to buy and download the content using the same codes? This would effectively be a title transfer, as
I understand, from one person to another.

It is possible to do this with a physical disk install, but can it be done for download only content - sell the game and rights to access to another Xbox One user?

    Thanks

    :)

    Transfer data question.

Hi, to transfer content licences associated with your console you must sign in to the console with the profile used to purchase the content. Once signed in go to Settings > account > billing options and select licence transfer following the on screen instructions to transfer the licences to the new console so other profiles can use the content. Content can not be transfered across profiles only across consoles - hope this helps

  3. Transfer a profile with live gold from an xbox to another xbox! Please, help me

    Hey there spinosauro!

To add to the advice above, here is how to transfer the Content License from one Xbox to another:

Can I transfer a content licence from one Xbox 360 console to another?

Yes, you can transfer content licences from one console to another once every four months.

If your console was recently repaired or if you’ve purchased a new console, use the licence transfer option on your console to transfer content licences. Here’s how:

1.On your console, sign in to Xbox LIVE using the gamertag that you used to purchase the content.

2.Go to Settings and select Account.

3.Go to Your Billing Options and select Licence Transfer.

4.Follow the instructions to transfer the content licences.

After the licences have been transferred, you need to download the content again to update the local licences. Then the content can be used by other profiles on your console and when you’re not connected to Xbox LIVE.

Transferring a game i just bought from one account to another.

When you purchase content, you receive a licence to use that content. The licence has two parts: the system licence and the local licence. The system licence applies to the gamertag that purchases the content, and the local licence applies to the console
where you first downloaded the content.

Moving games to a new account?

Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology is used by content providers, such as Xbox Live, to control how digital game and video files are used and distributed. Xbox Live sells and rents DRM-protected videos, games and add-in content that are covered by
media usage rights that allow specific uses of that content.

This is only for the 360 and does not transfer anything between accounts.
