Xbox one consumes all bandwith

Hi everyone.

Recently I acquire an Xbox One, I've seen that when I connect to Xbox live, that consumes all my bandwith, so I can't connect to internet from other devices (cellphone, tablet, etc) before I had and Xbox 360 and this
not happened. Someone have an idea what is going on?

Xbox One Slowing down the internet for other devices

Even if there are no updates or downloads queued: Please check in the Settings under Network the Bandwith usage.

In the upper left part of the screen the console will show the bandwith usage.

Check if the console is "hogging" bandwith when your internet is slow.

 

Xbox one Eating Bandwith

so this started happening around October-November we have called our Internet Provider at least 20 times now we cannot have the Xbox one hooked to the net, it slows down everything cant even watch Netflix can't have any page up. we have 15mb download speed
and the xbox takes around 3mb to have online. I don't know why this started happening, we had a technician come in and check the Router and modem and it wasn't that , we just requested a call but its going to take some time. it shows are network type Moderate
not sure if its that but I need help I cant even play games anymore please help

 

What does your ISP'S have you provisioned for? While dashboarded the Xbox One typically consumes about 0.2 MbPS. Also, how many systems (PCs, tablets, cell phones) are connected to your network typically at any given point and what are they doing? Are you
running file sharing apps, etc?

 

Thanks for answer. My connection is about 7000 kbps, normally we have between 4 and 6 devices connected to de router, and if we're playing Xbox one, We do not see videos or anything like that, only for access to Twitter, Facebook, etc, but I think that
is not the issue, because as I said when still game the 360 my bandwith works very well in all my devices.

 

Does there seem to be a maximum number of devices that can connect to your router at any given time?

 

No, my router doesn't have limitations, even I tried to restart the default settings, and only connect two devices (the Xbox, and a tablet) but the Xbox one still consumes all my bandwith

 

Could be interference, if your router has 5ghz capabilities then put your xbox on that to see if you can clear up the band a bit.

Also see what bandwidth your actually getting by using a site like speedtest.net to test your connection. Then try it with your Xbox on.
