Xbox One Console will not recognize any discs

I discovered about 3 weeks ago that my Xbox One would not recognize any type of disc. Game disc, blu ray, dvd, or music. Sometimes an error message would appear saying to insert an actual Xbox One game disc. So, I sent the system in to get serviced
because it is still under warranty. I then get the system back after 2 weeks with a note saying there was nothing wrong with the system! Sure enough, I hook it all back up. Takes about an hour to update and set it back up. Insert a disc. Nothing. Still broken.
Microsoft support and service is a joke. Thanks though for my free month of Xbox live gold. Won't be needing that as I'm switching to Sony after 11 years. Good work.

Xbox will not recognize any discs

No matter what disc (game or movie) I put in my Xbox, my Xbox will not recognize that there's a disc inserted. It just keeps saying "Open Tray". If I keep trying roughly 50 times, it might finally recognize that there is a disc inserted and it will play
it. So I bought a brand new Xbox (I'm pretty sure the warranty has run out on my first one). And this one is doing the exact same thing. My brother's Xbox also does the same thing. Someone please help!

"sometimes there's just a bad apple in the bushel." Hehe. You know that we're talking Microsoft's Xboxes here right? There's a lot of bad apples out there.... a lot.....

try doing a hard reset on the console by holding the power button on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug the power brick from the console and the outlet for a couple minutes then plug everything back in and power back on. if that doesn't
work. try a factory reset.

Go to settings, system, console and updates, reset console and choose to keep everything and your console will restart and you'll sign back in again taking you to the home screen. Once your console loads to the home screen try the home screen try the discs
again.

I also want to note the if you are part of the xbox one preview program you will have to post this in the preview forums to be further evaluated.

Apologies for the delayed reply. Are you able to try other Xbox 360 discs to see if a similar issue occurs? Does the Xbox One console recognize that the disc is a Black Ops II disc, or does the Xbox One console not acknowledge that any disc is in while Black
Ops II is in?

The xbox one won't recognize any of the discs that are put in.

If the console does not recognize the disc, try holding down the power button for 10 secs and try again.

In any case, follow these instructions.
