Xbox one console unexpectedly turns itself on.

If you're on an original Xbox one the front panel may be malfunctioning or shorting. Please wipe it with a clean cloth and if this keeps happening, you may have to send it in for repairs.

S.R.Y. my original Xbox One does the same thing but not very often. I do try to ensure I clean the casing, especially where the power sensor button is once a month. My S version has never turned itself on, just the original One that I bought Dec 2013.
It is also something that I live with but it is only happens maybe once or twice a month.

I joke with my spouse, that its haunted cause its so old.

When a console is abruptly turning itself off, this problem typically points to either poor ventilation, or power supply issues.
