    Xbox One Console Sync Button Not Working?


    Hi Everyone,

    I just performed on Offline System Update for my Gen One Xbox One, but now that it has completed, the
    sync button on the console itself does not work.

    When I press it, I hear the little sound that indicates it was pressed, but the X light on the console will not flash.

    I've tried a hard reset followed by disconnecting it from power, I've tried to sync my controller via microUSB, I've tried to update my controller firmware, but the moment I unplug my controller from the USB, the controller light will flash to indicate it
    is unpaired, and pressing the Xbox sync button, of course, does NOTHING.

    How can I fix this? Thank you for your help!

    Did you try doing a hard reset on the console? That can usually fix these types of issues.

    Sorry to hear it. If your headphones are set to work with the console then look for a Sync button on the headset. Press it and the one on the Xbox to sync them up

    Sorry to hear it. If the sync button is not working on your console then I'm afraid your best option would be to use a micro-USB cable to connect the controller to the console

    Xbox stuck in update mode, can't install update from disc.

    This may or may not work but try holding in the sync button on your console and then power the console on keeping the sync button held in.
