Xbox one console shuts off unexpectedly in a game

Hi. My Xbox one console shuts down unexoectedly when Im in a game after a few seconds. When in a game it makes a weird click noise and shuts down. Power brick light is Black after all this happens. Turn off after setting is set to not turn off automatically.
Any advice woyuld be appreciated

Xone turns itself off randomly, as if home button has been pressed.

If the soft reset didn't fix this try our
Xbox Shuts off Unexpectedly troubleshooter also. Give it a shot and keep us posted!

Hey DaintierInk6442,

this sounds like a Console oder Powersupply hardware failure.

If you have the chance to borrow a Powersupply from a friend or something i would try if the Console still turns off with that Powersupply. In that way you could better determine if its the Console or the Supply.

Further try to plug it into a different walloutlet and without any extenstion cables / surge protectors in between.

If the problem still occurs its best to get it serviced.

For that go to:
https://support.microsoft.com/devices and login with your Account. After that register your Console if you havent already done that, click on it, select the issue and follow the instructions.

Thanks for the reply. Thing is its a new console. Barely had it 3 months when the problem popped up. Sent it in to Microsoft. When it returned I had it about 3 months then it started doing the exact same thing since last weekend. First started loading a
game then shuts down then further down the line would only be on till the Green Xbox screen then shut down. Im busy trying to get hold of Xbox Support. Apparently theres a problem from their side. Console is still under warranty. Really hope its solved ASAP

Thanks for the replies. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the console shutting down unexpectedly.

Is this the only game that affects the console?
Does this happen with other games?
What console are you using?
