  1. Xbox One Console Shared Screenshots Not Appearing In My Default Xbox One One Drive Folder

    Dear Microsoft Xbox One Team,

    Hope you’re all doing well.

I’m having issues sharing my screenshot captures from my Xbox One console to my One Drive.

According to my Xbox One it displays a message with a tick saying ‘’shared’’ but however when I go and check my One Drive to look for the screenshots I shared from my Xbox One console to my One Drive the screenshots don’t seem to
appear or exist and the folder in my one drive is completely blank.

My One Drive is syncing correctly and working well within it’s normal parameters but still the Xbox One screenshots don’t seem to appear even know it came up with a message on screen saying ‘’shared’' and so far I have waited up
to 2 hours for the screenshots to appear in my One Drive but still nothing.
    Why is this happening???

    Kind Regards & Many Thanks,

    :)

try re-upload them to OneDrive. if that does not work, check that your Xbox cloud storage for clips and videos is not full,
also delete the old captures that you don't want anymore.

    Hello There.

So I tried your suggestion but still no luck the good news is after checking my Xbox cloud storage it doesn't seem to be full so that wouldn't be effecting this issue I'm having and on top of this I always delete my old gameplay captured screenshots and
game clips that I no longer want anymore.

I also attempted to try and re share the gameplay captured screenshots from my Xbox One console to my One Drive but again still no luck but this time it seems to be displaying a different error message on screen saying
''Sorry something went wrong when uploading this clip to One Drive''. instead of the one I had previously mentioned that kept coming up on screen as also an error message which was and
    I quote ''Shared Successfully''.

even know after checking my One Drive to see if the captured gameplay screenshots were there which they were not.

    * I have already reported this issue to the Microsoft Xbox team so hopefully they will fix this very soon fingers are crossed. :)

    Thanks again for your help

    Kind Regards,

    Backup gaming clips

    Hello Kursaalflyer,

Thank you for your quick response.

It appears that the capture location for your external drive is saved to GameDVR folder and XboxCapture copies folder. When copying multiple copies it goes directly to Xbox Capture Copies folder while captures clip is directly saved to GameDVR folder.

The GameDVR folder in external storage is a folder that contains the game clips and screenshots that you have recorded using the Xbox Game DVR feature on your console. The Game DVR feature allows you to capture your gameplay moments and share them with your friends or on social media. After recording clips, your external drive can now be plugged into a PC, where the traditional video files can be extracted. This essentially turns your console into a simple capture card, allowing recordings to be locally transferred for use in PC-based editing software. All files created by Game DVR can be found under the "Game DVR" folder automatically created on your drive.

The Xbox capture copies folder in external drive is a folder that contains the copies of the game clips and screenshots that you have recorded using the Xbox Game DVR feature on your console and then transferred to your external drive. The Xbox Game DVR feature allows you to capture your gameplay moments and share them with your friends or on social media. By transferring your game captures to an external drive, you can save space on your internal drive, backup your captures, and access them on other devices.

You can edit both the files saved on the GameDVR folder and the Xbox capture copies folder using PC editing tools. The difference is that the files on the GameDVR folder are the ones that you have recorded directly to your external drive by setting it as your capture location, while the files on the Xbox capture copies folder are the ones that you have copied or moved from your internal drive to your external drive. Both folders contain the same type of files, which are MP4 video files for game clips and PNG image files for screenshots.

We look forward to your response. Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding or clarifications of our description by sending us a reply.
