Xbox One Console says I am connected, but can't use Netflix / Edge, etc

Started one night ago. The right side of the home screen says 'Connect to Xbox Live'. When I go to test the connection, it says everything is fine. Tried hard resetting the Xbox as well as resetting my modems / routers. It says there are 15 friends online,
but their status never changes and it is always the same people. Need help, please.

Unable to connect to xbox live

i just had this problem occur to me. im connected and when i try to use microsoft edge, youtube,etc it says i am not not connected and my modem works fine.

Can't play online although I am actually online

So when I start my Xbox One and I'm in the menu I can't go to the store, or my friendlist or do other stuff. In the normal case you just have to press "RB" to go to the newsfeed, store etc. but that's not possible for me, because there is only a text with
"Connect to Xbox Live". I can't even play online and if I start a game a message appears, that says, that I'm not connected to Xbox Live, so I just can play offline. But when I press the guide button I can see, which of my friends are online or read messages.
But that's it. I can't do anything more. I started my console anew.......a lot. I also checked my internet connection, but everything says, everything is okay and I'm connected. But I still can't play online, go to the store or use apps like Netflix because
I'm allegedly not connected to Xbox Live. And yes, I have a Xbox Live Gold Membership.

Does anybody have a clue what I can do?

Have been having this exact same problem. I'm curious as to why Microsoft are not acknowledging that there IS a problem. You and I are FAR from the only people. It sucks to say the least.

Hi there,

to connect the Xbox One S console to the internet all you need is a internet connection, to which you can connect the console.

For youtube there is not addition membership required, for Netflix a Netflix membership is required.

There is no need for a Xbox Live Gold subscription to be able to use these apps and download demo's or purchased games etc.

A membership like Xbox Live Gold is required when you want to play multiplayer games online or use party chat etc

I am using a wireless connection i only have one console connected at a time either my 360 or my xbox one. I use a mobile phone to tether my console to. I dont really play multiplayer but i cant use netflix, youtube etc on my xbox one since the november
updates. The network provides me with more than the minimum requirements to be online. My 360 runs perfectly with no issues my xbox one just doesnt connect properly anymore
