Xbox one console/Remote "Kinda" freezing! Fixes?

Hello!

I bought my Xbox one the 10th of Feb 2014 ( I play Bf4 and Titanfall ) and its been working FINE all this time! But ive recently come into contact with some sort of bug:

Sometimes when I go to the main menu to check the time or something.... My remote freezes ( Im not sure if its the remote or the console ). I cant do anything as nothing works. The only thing I can do is hold the start button and turn off my controller.
But then when i turn the controller back on the console off/controller off screen stays! I cant do anything and i just lay stuck there pressing buttons until something happens. What will happen is either:

1. I get put back into the game after 10-15 secs and it works fine.

2. I get put back into the game but with the console off/controller off screen blocking my view

3.I can turn the controller off as many times as I want via the controller but nothing changes

4. And finnaly absolutely nothing and I have to turn the xbox off

Its very annoying and I was wondering if anybody has a solution to this? And is it because of the June update?

EDIT:- This has only happened VERY RECENTLY ( 2-3 days )

Xbox One "media remotes"

Does anyone know if any 3rd parties have/are working on a remote control for the X1 similar to the 360 media remote? I know you can use smartglass in this function, but I much prefer a dedicated hardware device with proper buttons.

Game here in the UK are doing one, but it looks crap, to be honest.

Anyone else come across any others yet?

My first suggestion would be to power cycle the console completely (steps here:

support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) as this has a tendency to sort out issues of a similar nature.

Well if you mean Power cycle as in: Turn off the xbox one via my remote and waiting 30 seconds iv done it before and then it works again.

But then it'll just freeze again at some random time i go to the menu ( 1 in 3-4 times Id say )

 

Not turning it off via the remote. As in the link, press the Xbox logo on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds and the light on the power supply unit should turn orange. Then you can unplug it for 30 seconds or so before powering it back on.

 

Just tried it out. No freezes yet. Just switched from menu to Bf4 multiple times without any problemes. But you know how these things work... It could be still broken, but hey it works great now! And it probably isnt a probleme any more!

I have the same issue, but only occurs when I'm playing titanfall, haven't had it freeze on any other game. So not sure if its the XB1 or titanfall. I have tried powering off via hold XB1 button on console for 5 seconds to power off, but haven't tried disconnecting
the power for 30 secs.

 

@livlif2fullest: Try disconnecting the power as stated, and if that does not work go ahead and create your own thread about the issue. This makes it easier for us to assist you and avoids one user hijacking another's thread.
