Xbox one console not working

    Our xbox one can only be turned on and off by controller. How do i fix it so i can turn on/off by console?

    if holding down the power button on the console is not working then the only other option would be to unplug it from the mains power or turn off through in xbox settings.

    if this is a big problem for you then you could look into a repair - service repair (scroll to bottom and choose repair & service centre)

    How do i do this and will we lose all the apps and saved stuff? I googled it and it says i have to hold the power button/touch sensor but mine doesnt work. Ours is the normal xbox one and it is still only powering on with controller and same with power
    off.

    The xbox is always turned off when not being used and her controller is wireless. We just woke up one day and tried turning on by console and it wouldnt work so now we control it by the game controller
