    Xbox One Console Freezes


    In the past couple of days my console will freeze randomly. The freezes will last for up to about 30 seconds. This is causing issues trying to game online. The freezing seems to be happening most during loading of games or changing apps.

    I've tried: hard resets - no help. Restoring to factory defaults - no help.

    I guess calling customer support is the next step...?

    And run through the step by step screen freeze solution. Hopefully one of the steps will solve the issue.

    It literally just loaded me into a multiplayer game by myself...

    when i turn on my xbox one, it doesn't respond to my controller. it sorta freezes, i can move things with controller, but it doesn't respond to anything else, A button to choose any app or game doesn't work. but A button responds only when i decided to turn
    it off. i have to reboot or unplug cords, to make it work again. reboot sometimes doesn't work. but unplugging cords and plug it again always fixes it. it is so annoying i have to go through this process again and again almost every time.

    Which version of the console are you running into issues with?

    Let's have you try the Freezing games guide for your console:

    Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Forums!

    Is this happening on the Xbox 360 or are you accessing Xbox 360 games on an Xbox One platform? Is it all games that are freezing or a select few only?

    If this is for an Xbox One Platform, try power cycling your Xbox One console:

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will power down.
    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the
      Xbox button on your controller.
