Xbox One console errors/failed attempts

I have a new 1TB console. It was running perfectly when I got it, but it seems ever since the latest update the console has been acting very strange. An example, I did something that felt accomplishing on Battlefield Hardline, I attempted to save the short
video it does but it stuck at the dimming of the screen between the game and snap-a-app pull up thing. My game continued to play and I died and it still remained at that transitioning stage. Confused and very frustrated I continued playing. Then there would
be times I try to go from playing a game, pausing it. Exiting the app, then trying to open the "My Games and Apps" section but it would load up the image and then freeze. Then after a bit of it staying on the image it closed it out and said something about
an error. I do not understand why it's running and failing. It would play nicely but then when I try to use the snap a app thing it would just cause some kind of fault in the system. that's when the console would really start acting up. It's gotten me very
irritated. Especially since it's a brand new console. Barely played, only about 1 month of playing it and it's already breaking. The older Xbox One when it first came out ran much better than this new one and still does. I'm close to quitting Xbox and turning
to the PS4 unless this issue gets fixed. Like I said, the console is new. It's the Forza Motorsport 6 System bundle. I love Xbox and there games, but a lot of stuff that's been happening is starting to make me think second thoughts. Been a member I think for
4-5 years. Since either a year before 2012 or it might have been 2012 when I joined. I absolutely love Xbox consoles. Way more than PlayStation, but if this issue does not get fixed. I will most likely transfer to PlayStation. Anyone help? Microsoft staff?
Someone? Also, before I forget. When it freezes, it freezes up the entire console. Someone help, I really don't want to quit Xbox.

Original Xbox 360 E74 error message- Solution

If your Xbox 360 has failed because of the E74 error, you’ll see the following message on the screen when you turn on your Original Xbox 360 console:

System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
E74

If you see this error message, you must repair your console. The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If the warranty period expires, you’ll have to pay for the repair.

Since the update has failed once already, Hold the Sync button on the console during the full boot process to clear out the failed one.

 

Hey there. The first thing that I would try is going into Settings, Power, Turn Xbox off. This will fully shut down your console, not just put it in standby. When it is off, unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes, then try again and see if it
helps. If not, please post back here.
