XBox one console does not play my newer games

Hello everyone, I have an older xbox one and have no other issues with the console except that this Christmas I bought my kid zombie land double tap, fortnite, gears 5, call of duty and also star wars all brand new. When I put the disc in it pulls the
disc in and you can hear it spin for a second and then it registers as no disc in unit. But when I go to put an older disc in like mortal kombat it plays it just fine. I took back the first two games I opened thinking they were bad but they do the same thing.
I uninstalled the unit and reinstalled it. I update following basic things try to get these games started but no luck. All the older game work fine

When you say 'older disc' is this game a backwards compatible 360 game disc?

Do you have any Blu-ray movies or DVD discs to try in your console?

Is the older games already installed? maybe your console can't install the games?

I’m sorry that this is happening to you, this shouldn’t be happening on a base model for an Xbox One. You can try giving your Xbox One console a power cycle. https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/system/power-cycle-console

You could also try dusting out the disc tray with an air can to see if that could be a possible issue too. Let us know if you found an solutions.

That certainly shouldn't be happening as even the launch model Xbox One has all the correct hardware to run Xbox One new releases. I would suggest putting a call into MS Technical Support, it is likely something simple but they may have a more in-depth
knowledge base on this specific issue and how to correct it.

Not 360 XBox one games like mortal kombat and simms etc. It's just this new batch I bought don't work. Ms Tech won't call they keep on sending me emails and all the numbers I have to contact them don't work anymore. I appreciate everyone helping. You have
