    Xbox one console disconnecting


    We have bought a second xbox one console so both sons can play at the same time. They can play fortnite together but when they play on separate games the recently bought xbox disconnects from xbox one live, therefore ending one childs game. only seems
    to happen when they play in multi player games. They both have open NAT, no network errors, both using wifi. Is there a fault with the new xbox one console or is it because they both paying multi player games? Thanks

    Info about xbox one s and x

    I have not suffered with issues of my controllers disconnecting from my Xbox One S or X consoles.

    I already returned one Xbox One now the replacement is having the same issue

    I got a day one console, and returned it because of controller disconnecting continuously. My new xbox one not only has the controller disconnecting issue, but this blank screen issue that you are describing as well. Definitely not an HDMI issue. Never
    happened once with the previous xbox. This is ridiculous. One of my friends is having the same blank screen problem as well.

    It could be due to the wifi. A wifi connection only allows so much bandwidth to go through. If both sons are playing multiplayer online it could be putting a strain on the signal. Especially if other people are using the internet as well. If possible,
    try connecting one console to the modem with an ethernet cable to see if that helps the issue.

    Connection Problems

    Hey Psychoatic,

    Thanks for letting us know about this.

    Usually when the Xbox One disconnects, it can easily be solved with a hard reset.

    Try this out first:

    1. Hold the power button on the Xbox One console down for 10 seconds

    2. Power the console back on

    3. Attempt the action again to test for disconnection

    Issue with controller disconnecting from console, and console disconnecting from the internet

    It sounds like 2 separate issues, One being the controller disconnects, and the other being the console disconnecting.

    Are you able to plug your console into router with an Ethernet cable?

    Have you disconnected your Xbox One from Twitch via your account page on Twitch.tv?

    If not, try disconnecting

    Uninstall Twitch TV app from the Xbox One

    Turn off your console (press the power button on the front of the console until it powers off)

    Go to Twitch.tv and log in to your account

    Disconnect/unassociate your Xbox One from your Twitch account

    Turn on your Xbox One and install the Twitch app

    Go through the process of connecting your console to your Twitch account again
