Xbox one console continuously accessing the Internet even when idle.

I was playing a game, and was about ready to stop when I notice the network lights on my router we're going bonkers. I turned off my Xbox the light stopped. I turned the Xbox back on again the light started blinking continuously its accessing the net.
there is no updates nothing is in the queue. Auto updates are turned off. I checked the system status page and it says there is no available updates. also the bandwidth usage is constantly going up even when its just sitting there doing nothing. I've neversee
the console do this before unless it was updating something, but nothing is being updated is just continuously using bandwidth on the Internet.. I just started noticing this about half hour ago.

360 S Halo edition doesn't re-sync with controller

When my controller becomes idle and goes in sleep mode, my console doesn't re-sync with it. As normal, there are no rings on the console letting me know the controller is idle and when I press the guide button the controller just flashes continuously.
It only happens with this console because I also use the same controller with another console and it works fine. What is preventing the console from not recognizing the controller? It has worked fine for a year and then all of a sudden...nothing.

 

Xbox Live for Xbox One?

If you're referring to the need of Gold to access Hulu, Netflix, etc then the answer is yes. They have already confirmed this themselves

 

Try doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

I already did that it did not work thought I mentioned it but I guess I didn't.

 

It will do that in normal operation, particularly when it monitors the cloud server. Right now I'm streaming video through my network drive and the internet light is flashing a lot, particularly when the video and movie app is used for streaming.

 

I'm not doing any streaming, watching any videos or anything. I just turn my Xbox on and it just does the dashboard load up etc. then it just sits there continuously accessing the internet blinking all the time. That's when I noticed that it's using up
alot bandwidth when it's doing nothing but sitting there idling. and like I said I've never seen this continuously to do this specially when Idle. I just noticed it yesterday for the first time. it takes a long time to get the network statistics because it's
constantly accessing the net with something else. so something running in the background on the console making it do that. as I said there's no files being queue for download.

 

man, this is just bad, something is constantly running in the background accessing the internet and it's eating up all my bandwidth I can't do anything on my console because of this. I did two hard resets that don't work. I disconnected from being online,
the lights stop blinking and everything is fine but yet I can't access my cloud. or do any online gaming stuff like chat with my buddy. when I turn it back to go back online, the lights start going crazy again. Like I said even when its just idling and not
supposed to be doing anything. its really killing my bandwidth. Twitter support is useless because they don't read your messages. and the only two options I have for contact support on Xbox is Twitter support, or the forum community. do the actual support
people read these forums?

 

Other than doing a factory reset , I'm not sure how you could remedy this ...un install the apps one at a time maybe and see if you can find the bad guy ....could be just a glitch in the OS though (which a factory reset SHOULD fix )

 

For reference , it will access the internet to update friends list and the like , but shouldn't be "chewing up bandwidth" ....maybe you should see how much it is really using...

 

I did, I looked at the bandwidth usage page on the Xbox console and you could see the numbers constantly increasing nonstop even when it's just sitting there idling. how do I know what app to uninstall? the only apps that I have is stuff that came default,
like upload dvr, settings, just the basic Xbox needed apps.
