    Sounds to me like a circuit board failure.... i could be wrong. Send it to microsoft for a fix?

    This is a xbox one about 5 years old. It beeps and lights up but then shuts down after 20 seconds. I can hear the fan go on but I cant get it to stay on long enough for the green xbox screen to come up on the tv.

    Clearly your console overheats if you have a compressor. So use it and blow it into the Xbox to remove dust. If you don't have a compressor, buy compressed air. And do the same with him.
