Xbox one connects through ethernet only

So I just got a new internet service today (new company, new router, FRIGGIN BETTER SPEEEEEEED ) and set it up like normal. On the old router, this xbox connected wirelessly and it was also portforwarded. So I know my xbox can connect wirelessly. Also,
all my other devices like my phone and laptop can connect to the new router and access the internet, so I know that the router isn't the problem. I FIRST set up my xbox on the ethernet cable with my router. I assigned it a static ip and port forwarded it.
Note: It was able to connect to xbox live without the portforward. But when I switched rooms out of ethernetcable-range and connected it wirelessly, it would connect to the home wifi, but it did not connect to xbox live and I got an error saying
"DNS isn't resolving Xbox server names". What do I do?

DHCP help

I can't connect through my wired ethernet port and getting a DHCP error message. I can connect fine through the same ethernet cord on my laptop but not my Xbox One.

How to Connect Internet Cable directly to Xbox 360

Hi everybody.

So recently I've been experiencing a lot of lag on CoD, i.e, whenever I join a game I get 2-bar and 3-bar connections. So I decided to search for some solutions. I read somewhere that I can fix this problem by directly connecting my Xbox to the router using an Ethernet cable. Now the problem arises as I do not possess an Ethernet cable.
Currently, I have a cable through which Internet is supplied (It's a Fibrenet connection, which uses Optical Fibres for transmitting the Internet) and this cable is connected to a router which provides me WiFi.
I was wondering if I can connect my Internet Cable directly to the Xbox 360 without Ethernet cables.
(The cable looks exactly like an Ethernet cable so it can fit into the Ethernet jack of the Xbox, so that problem is covered.)

EDIT : I connected the Internet Cable to the Xbox but when I tested connection, It does not connect to Internet. Help

Sorry you're having problems with your wireless and getting DNS errors. Have you tried connecting to wireless with other devices? I would try to do the following on the Xbox. Go to Settings, then Network, then Advanced Settings, then DNS Settings. Put in
these 2 DNS servers. 8.8.8.8, and 8.8.4.4 (these are Google's DNS servers and used by almost every IT guy in the world). Once you've done this your DNS should be working.

I'm wondering if, without internet, you can play your Xbox One on your PC. This may be through a direct ethernet cable connection or maybe through a router connected to both the Xbox One and your PC.

So you're saying that your XOne console with only detect the ethernet cable if your pc is already connected through another ethernet cable ?

Are you able to place and connect your console as close-by to your wireless router as possible, or as Onyx suggested; try connect wired with your console. So at least we know it can connect with Ethernet, or not.

Is the Beetel device the only networking device on your LAN that your Xbox One connect through?

No, it's a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580. It has the modem and router all in one. I bought it a few years ago. I never had this problem when my Xbox 360 was wired into it. It was kind of the reason I ran ethernet through my house. While the Xbox One is connected
to ethernet you can use the wired computer in the house, but no wifi connected devices. Unplug the Xbox One Ethernet and they all run no problem.
