Xbox One Connection Issues

Ok I just purchased an xbox one a little under a week ago. Previously i had a 360 with no issues with lag or connection online (maybe once in a while with a bad host) Currently I only have Call of Duty AW and for some reason I am guaranteed to lag every
single game i play at least 3 times. I also use the netflix app and it will have to load at least once through whatever im watching.I have Comcast internet (im not real technical i just know according to them its the fastest you can get for my area) and am
wireless on the xbox (Cannot hardwire it). I have no idea what to do and honestly this is frustrating. I dont want another console but i also dont want lag online. Any help is appreciated

Xbox One has compatibility issues with UK TV signals

I am unable to connect to any of my friends over Xbox Live and it takes over an hour to match up with people in any games matchmaking system. I have an open NAT and so do all my friends. I am not enjoying my experience with the Xbox One at all.

Things you have tried: Moved the console closer to the router (Same room now, less lag but still there every game) Changed DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Do you only have lag on COD:AW or is this also present on other games ?

 

I only have COD:AW i couldnt afford to buy another game when i purchased the console. I will probably buy another game next week when i get paid. But netflix works most of the time (once in a while it will have to buffer) and the only other app i use (pandora)
works fine.

 

Does the NAT on COD:AW also show as OPEN or does it show as MODERATE or STRICT

Then I believe the issue is purely because you're on wireless.

Mostly when there lag issues it's because of your NAT but yours is set to OPEN so we can basically rule that out. When wireless is your only option for gaming try and connect to a 5GHz network as the signal is stronger, a downside of it is that the range
isn't that far but 5Ghz has less interference.

I still highly recommend a wired connection though, it might not look pretty but it beats having lag.

One thing I have not mentioned yet which you can try is to perform a powercycle. You can do this by holding down the powerbutton on your Xbox One for about 10 seconds untill it turns off. Then unplug your Xbox from the power untill the light on the powerbrick
goes out. Plug it back in turn it on and try again.

If this does not improve it either then the only solution is to either move your Xbox even closer, get a wifi extender/repeater or having a wired connection

 

Why would i have connection issues this bad for the Xbox one but not for my 360? When i had my 360 i NEVER had connection issues.
