Xbox One Connection Error

I just wanted to share an issue that popped up today while I was playing Destiny. Mid-game I was disconnected from the game, only to find that my Xbox had lost its connection to my home network. After resetting the router and rebooting the console it still
wouldn't reconnect, despite there being nothing wrong with any other device on the network.

After trying to manually reconnect to the network, the console kept telling me my password was wrong and couldn't connect. I ended up having to do a factory reset on the console in order to fix whatever was causing the issue. I'm now in the process of reinstalling
all the games and I'm left wondering if all this could have been avoided if the Console had something in the settings to only reset your Network Settings as opposed to having to wipe the slate clean on everything. If there is one, I couldn't find it even using
the support site.

tl:dr? Not a genuine problem needing solving, just a recommendation that might save a lot of people a lot of hassle.

Hi, should that happen again in the future try the following, it has worked for 100% of people I have helped with the exact same issue.

On the Xbox go to settings/ network/ advanced settings/ alternate mac address. Select the clear option and the Xbox will power cycle. When the Xbox reaches the home screen set up your wireless network again.

That is pretty much a method of resetting the network settings on the Xbox One.
