now i can't hear anything! i have an old pair of speakers powered by usb with a 3.5 audio jack as well. how can i get audio to work? does anyone else have a similar setup as me?

Hi, the Xbox One does not have a analog audio output, so you have to get the audio from the HDMI or the Toslink (optical).

So you have to use a
    Converter
to have analog audio and connect to the speakers. Another option is to use the controller audio out, wich is analogic.
