    Xbox one completely shutting down


    So I’ve had my xbox one for a couple years now, and it was working like a champ. But today it started to shut completely down after starting a game up right away. Like even the power box light goes out. I have no clue if I need a new power box or if my Xbox
    has a problem. And what I have to do to get it to start up again is I have to unplug the power box from the wall and it’s self then re-plug it back in then it will start up. But sometimes it will start up and stay that way and other times it will immediately
    shut down again.

    also, don’t tell me this either i have tried completely shutting down my xbox and turning it back on.

    Transferring 360 saves

    Outside of Tweeting 4J and/or Xbox Support which always seems helpful, you could try completely shutting down your Xbox One (pull power from wall socket) as this seems to fix a lot of the smallish issues.

    I had this happen once, I just did a hard shut down, (hold the button on the ONE till it shuts down completely) and it took care of the problem.

    That happened to me also. What I did was a full Xbox one shut down. Press and hold down the power button for about 5 seconds. After the Xbox is completely shut down, start it back up. It should work now. Let us know if that worked out for you!

    Battery?

    Do you mean the power brick?

    The are two power modes. You should have been told to select one when setting up the xbox for the first time. One is an always on type mode that makes startups quick and the other is a power saving mode that completely shuts down the xbox.

    Make sure you are in the power saving mode to completely shut it down.

    I have reported the issue to the preview member report a problem but I have not seen any other forums with the same issue. I appreciate the direction.

    You can also report a problem by holding in the Xbox button on your controller for a couple seconds and selecting "Report a problem". You can also visit your Preview Dashboard application on your Xbox to view a list of known issues to see if this is affecting
