Xfinity on Demand on Xbox One

    Hello,

I am navigating Xfinity TV using Xbox One using One Guide. However, I am unable to navigate the On Demand inset menu. Now since Xfinity set top box is managed through Xbox I do not have direct access to that box. I can no longer navigate the on demand channels.
I will have to un sync them to see the on demand channels and route cable directly to TV.

    Anything I should try?

    Thanks

  3. Xbox one not controlling TV or Comcast Box

I've been trying to get the OneGuide and Live TV to work and the Xbox / Kinect doesn't seem to control anything (TV or set top box). The one guide shows up correctly, but it will not change the channels. I've tried multiple options for the cable provider
and set top box, and have moved the kinect around the room with no luck.

I have a Comcast X1 box, Make & Model: MO MX011ANM. I've tried putting in Comcast, Motorola, and Xfinity as the provider but none of them work.

The Kinect registers my voice correctly (i.e. Xbox turn off) so it seems like it's working, but it doesn't control the tv or box.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Hey Worlord,

You will need an HDMI compatible set top box and cable provider in order to connect through the Xbox One.

    Add xfinity app?

I talked to Xfinity, they said they had the app already on 360 platform and it's up to Microsoft to utilize the app on the one console.
    Unfortunately, Xfinity is mistaken here.

Microsoft only provides a marketplace to distribute apps from third parties like Xfinity. As Microsoft doesn't own publishing rights for Xfinity, only Xfinity can make a Xfinity app for the Xbox One.

While there are means to get Xbox 360 games working on the Xbox One through Backwards Compatibility, it wouldn't make sense for the Xfinity App. And even then, Xfinity would have to give Microsoft the rights to "convert" the app to Backwards Compatibility.

I'd assume the Xfinity support agent didn't know what you really wanted, or was too lazy to actually help you.

Xbox One losing TV signal - Comcast Xfinity X1

There are a few other threads about this issue that is wide spread not just with the Xfinity X1. Other countries multiple provides and varying set-top models. My Set-top has this issue after I do a soft boot of my Xbone. I just power cycle the xbone by
holding the power button the box for 10s. There are suggested workarounds on the other threads as well.

    Trouble with Xbox One Guide

Set up Comcast box manually. Type in Xfinity instead and see that gives you more choices. I have a x1 box from Comcast, could not find it until I typed Xfinity.

Xfinity X1 and Xbox One, TV loses audio after idle time.

The menu-related and game audio work just fine (and amazon instant, etc. etc.) it's just fails when trying to watch TV if the xbox has been on "for a while". It's likely a matter of the handshake between cable box and xbox.

The Sonos sound bar isn't a surround device, it's just stereo, so each of the devices (xfinity, xbox, and tv) are set to stereo.

    PX001ANM Device Settings (that matter):

    Xbox One Settings:

Connection between Xbox One and Xfinity box is via the HDMI cable provided by MSFT, but also purchased the ones referenced above, with same issue.

Other info: I've actually had this thing hooked up to both of the other set top boxes as well (X1 uses one master, and two slaves) and those have the exact same problem.

    Thanks for any help!
