Xbox One Clicking Noise

My Xbox One is making the chirping noise. It does it after the console has been on for a little while. (About 40 - 60 minutes.) It starts chirping repeatedly and does so whether I'm in the dashboard, playing a game or watching something. Apparently
this is quite a common problem, (I googled it) but I'm uncertain if it's the hard drive or the fan or what. I got it Christmas of 2014, I haven't played it much, and I always keep it ventilated and I do blow the dust out of all my machines regularly. Suffice
to say, the issue isn't user error. One extra detail: The issue doesn't always happen with installed games, but it happens pretty quickly with disk-based games. (sometimes 20-30 minutes)

Now, what I need to know is, and there's no way to ask this without sounding a little bit cynical: If I send this in to get fixed, is there a way to make sure that they see the problem and don't just give it a quick once-over and assume everything's
fine and send it back to me unchanged? Because apparently sometimes this happens to people when they send their console in with a problem that isn't obvious or doesn't present right away. A problem like, say, this one. I'm not saying they're incompetent, but
I've had things like that happen to me before so I know there's precedent. And I won't stand for it if it happens this time. This issue has also been portrayed in numerous youtube videos and forum posts already, so I know I'm not alone.

Why did my Xbox One S beep and click

it was coming from the hard drive. i did an internet seach and the clicking noise was similar to the "hard drive click of death". A failing hard drive.

My cousin's xbox one S made the same clicking noise with no beep, the clicking in his xbox was coming from the fan

I can't hear anything coming from my Xbox One, but then again that's why I wear hearing aids. =P

 

Is the console leveled? I also heard of people's fans getting a little loose or messed up a bit and the hotter it gets(more so with disk games) the faster the fan goes making it more noticeable.

 

What does "leveled" mean exactly? Like elevated? It stands atop a solid, flat wooden surface, and I give it plenty of room to air out. Either way, the chirping noise shouldn't be happening. It's extremely persistent and intrusive, so it doesn't matter if
it can be explained or not, it's still an issue that needs fixing. I appreciate your attention to the matter though, I don't want to sound ungrateful.

 

By leveled I meant just flat or not at an angle. Have you called xbox support? They may be able to help more.
