    Xbox One China delay


    The Xbox One was meant to launch in China on 23rd September. Now only 3 days prior Microsoft announce its delayed to an unspecified date and no reason given.

    Incidently tomorrow is the deadline for Microsoft to respond to China's "anti-trust" probe into Microsoft over their Windows operating system softwares.

    It would seem Chinese regualtors are not happy over Microsoft having their Windows software require verification codes, and somehow come to the conclusion that Microsoft are attempting to monopolise their market. There are 30 other foreign countries also
    under this "anti-trust" investigation in China.

    The recent DRM announcement on Xbox One games in China.....could this somehow be connected to this sudden last minute delay of the Xbox One console?

    The Xbox One is looking to dominate in new markets

    So not being delayed in china later till later this year. Good to know. Want to see how it fares over there.

    I like to buy an electronic with full warranty. So last month I bought xbox one China version (since I live in China), I thought there will be English language, but I am wrong. I went to setting, but could not find, only Chinese and region also China. It
    xbox one day one China version.

    Does anybody know how to put english language pack or something so it can have english language?

    It will now launch in China next Monday, the 29th September. Well that was a short delay!!

    That's strange because they just came out last week and said the launch was delayed......

    Microsoft has delayed the launch of the Xbox One in China. The console was set to release on September 23rd but is now being held back until later in the year.

    "Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China," said Microsoft.

    "At Xbox, we pride ourselves on delivering first-rate gaming and entertainment experiences, and to allow us to deliver on that promise, we need to reschedule the launch of Xbox One."
