Xbox One Chatpad Sound Issues

Hello,

My Xbox One Chatpad microphone plugin has stopped working. The firmware is updated Version 1.1.7033.0 Manufacturer Microsoft. Plugging my headset directly into the controller and sound works fine. This was purchased from Amazon on January 5th 2016. Everything
else works fine on it. I do not want to spend $30.00 on a new one and the off brand pads do not have the two buttons for taking screen shots or clips (I use both). Any help would be welcomed.

Xbox one chatpad audio not working

Hi, need help. My son has Xbox one and uses a chatpad with an Xbox one headset. The chatpad audio (via a headset) has just stopped working. Can barely hear the audio and it just has a scrambling sound. If I unplug the chatpad and connect headset to controller
the audio works fine but if I reconnect the chatpad then headset the scrambling sound comes back. His console is update, I’ve updated the controller and chatpad but it’s still not working. Anyone know how this can be fixed? The chatpad is only a few months

Sorry to hear about the issues. Have you already read through the guide on
Troubleshooting the Xbox One Chatpad? If so and you are continuing to experience issues, your Chatpad may be in need of repair. I know this isn't exactly ideal but you can begin that process via the
Online Service Center.

If you are in the UK, the standard warranty is 1 year, and amazon are amazing with their no quibble replacements in my experience.

You could also just check the port to see if a bit of fluff or something has gotten in there and is preventing contact with the plug.

 

@SN1P3R Thanks USA and here Amazon only gives you 90 days and MS when I called said same for them. Thank you though for the reply and attempt to help.

After all this time still zero reply from MS about a fix for their on the cheap built chatpad!!!! One year and MS still will not respond to this....
