    Xbox one chatpad not fitting into controller


    Got two xbox one chatpads for christmas, neither of them will fit into either of the two controllers we own (one console is the battlefield 1 bundle, the other was the madden 17 bundle, which I believe was the generic white controller (both consoles are
    the xbox one S). The angle seems just slightly off for the HDMI port to connect, and wiggling them softly does nothing to advance things further. I don't want to break my controllers by trying to force them in, so... got any ideas?

    Hello! I just bought one of the XBOX ONE chatpads with the included chat headset.

    I am having trouble fitting the chatpad onto my XBOX ONE S controller.

    As far as I can tell from the instructions and from inspecting the controller, the chatpad should just be able to plug into the controller right?

    It feels like something might not be aligned... like something is blocking the connection... I shouldn't need to remove anything, correct?

    Is this the same situation as the chatpad? I'm having trouble fitting that onto my S controller.

    Update: Got the angle to work right, but the port still doesn't want to move any further in, it's like it's caught on the outside of the female port inside the controller. Any tips?

    Hey messhallcook -

    You may have to wiggle the chatpad around to be sure that it's properly aligned to get it to fit onto your Xbox One S controller. Be sure that the prongs and such are aligned correctly and then try wiggling things to see if you can get it to pop on. Are
    you able to try your Xbox One chatpad on a different Xbox One controller? Preferably not an Xbox One S version. If you don't have one available, you could bring your chatpad to a local retailer and ask if you can try it there.

    Chatpad for controler

    Hello. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Xbox 360 Chatpad.



    There are two tabs on either end of the chatpad that fit securely into the screw holes on the bottom grips of the controller. If these are not secure then the chatpad won't be fully operational as the connection at the powerport will be loose.





    Connect the Xbox 360 Chatpad to a controller:



    1. Turn the controller and the Xbox 360 Chatpad so that the bottom of each faces up.

    2. Align the chatpad connector plug with the controller's expansion port. Align the two posts on the chatpad with the holes on the controller.

    3. Push the chatpad onto the controller with even pressure until they snap together. There should be no gaps.
