    Xbox one Chatpad Destiny Issues


    All,

    I just got an Xbox One Chatpad and in general it works quite well. I can chat with friend, parties work, as does in-game chat in every game I have tried.

    But, today I noticed that when using the chatpad I have no voiceovers in Destiny. No Ghost voice, no voices in cutscenes, no voices when taking patrol missions.

    I have made sure that the chatpad, controller, and Xbox are up to date. I am using the stereo "earmuff" style headset.

    I do get the voiceovers from the TV speakers, if I plug the headset directly into the headset port on the controller, or into my stereo headset adapter that came with the headset. This seems to be strictly limited to when I am using the chatpad.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Sorry to hear about the issues. Have you already read through the guide on
    Troubleshooting the Xbox One Chatpad    ? If so and you are continuing to experience issues, your Chatpad may be in need of repair. I know this isn't exactly ideal but you can begin that process via the
    Online Service Center.

    Headset Microphone problems from latest NXOE update 1/23/16

    I'm having the same issue with the Xbox branded headset when plugged into the Chatpad. Happened after one of the updates. I can hear fine but no one can hear me.

    It's definitely some sort of issue with the update. I bought brand new controllers, Chatpad and mic to verify same issue with the new ones
