Xbox one Chat Pad not working

Hey guys i was wondering if any of you can help me with a problem im having. I bought the xbox one chat pad for my windows 10 PC but when I plug it into my controller nothing happens, I cannot use the chatpad at all, it doesnt want to update on its own and
I updated windows 10 to the November update v.1511. When I plug the chat pad into my controller the only thing that happens is that the orange LED light on the chatpad flickers the whole time. Please Please Please if anybody can help me or let me know if im
doing something wrong reply to my post. Thank you for the assistance

Xbox one chat pad is not working

Hi guys/gals, I have this Xbox one chat pad and it hasn't been working lately, I've always kept it unplug for my controller but I did use it a few times but during those times it worked properly. Now when I want to use it, it's unresponsive.

I also have same problem "after update", my chat pad's oran light keep blinking. but this xbox app still show's nothing to update. Game pad working fine but chat pad doesn't working after update this stupid firmware!!!

 

Hi Spooky. I am having the same problem. I have a standard Xbox One Controller and just received the Xbox one Wireless Adapter for windows and the Xbox One Chatpad.

The Wireless adapter works perfectly.

But with the Chatpad, all I get is the moderate blinking of the orange LED.

I read that the controller needs to be updated in order for the Chatpad to work, so followed the instructions to "Update via PC" found here:

support.xbox.com/.../update-controller-for-stereo-headset-adapter

Sadly the "Xbox Accessories" App for Windows 10 only shows me a picture of my controller and does not offer the needed update (I tried connecting over usb and the wireless adapter)

Can anyone help us?

I am having the same issue the Chatpad blinking an orange light. after updating the controller on windows 10, it still does not function.
