    Xbox One Chat Issues


    I bought a Xbox One when COD BO3 came out and that is pretty much the only game I play. The package did not come with a headset, so I got a Turtle Beach headset.

    I have found an issue where the multiplayer chat in the game will not come through and my mic doesn't work. This issue only occurs if my Xbox One is in 'Instant On' mode. If the system is in 'Energy Saver' mode, the chat audio and mic will always work.


    If the system is in 'Energy Saver' mode and I turn the system on, change the setting to 'Instant On', the chat audio and mic will work for that session. If I turn the system off and turn it right back on, the chat audio and mic will not work, until i change
    the settings back to 'Energy Saver' mode and turn the console off and back on.

    Same issue occurs if I use a simple pair of apple ear buds.

    The audio from the game itself always works, no matter what the settings are. The console does recognize when the headset is plugged in and when it is not. It is just the chat audio and mic that doesn't seem to work in the mentioned instance.

    Anyone experience this? Sorry if this is a redundant post, but I couldn't find anyone reporting this.

    XBOX One Chat Issues -

    I'm having an issue with chat with one person. Seem to be able to chat ok with all other people.

    We can chat if we are in Party Chat, but not in game chat. When in game chat with other players,we can both hear and talk to the other players but we cannot hear each other.

    In a party chat, then we can talk to each other ok only if I am using the headset plugged into the 3.5 mm jack on the controller. If I use the headset adapter then it doesn't work.

    I've tried a lot. We both have Open NATs.

    Error code: 0x89231806 Blocking Party chat

    I'm getting this exact issue. Why does the XBOX One Party chat suffer so many issues? It's amazing how on the XBOX 360 there wasn't this many problems with the party chat. Now with the XBOX One it's been nothing but issues with the Party chat since the
    system was released.

    My NAT = OPEN

    0X89231806 your network settings are blocking party chat.

    I'm also tired of Microsoft constantly suggesting to do a hard reset on the system. It seems to be their answer to everything. Have a problem? Hard reset your system.

    No, I am trying to chat with other people on an XBox One. Oddly enough, one of my friends who is having the same issue can chat to people through BF4 ingame chat. Just not through party chat.

    Im have the exact same issue, my older Xboxone works and my newer model does not, I'v also tried

    port forwarding.

    clearing the Mac.

    Factory reboot.

    Updating controllers.

    Using multiple remotes and head sets.

    I even got a new modem/router from (Xfinity)"updated"

    The chat also come out choppy from the TV.

    I'm on the same boat buddy, hope someone can help out!!!

    I've had the same issue for a month now. Its definitely the xbox. For the last month I have the same issue you have with party and I have issues with signing on. I have buddy in the same house on PSN and his PC playing WOW and never has any issues. When
    it comes to party chat and certain functions on the xbox one it is just straight trash. A few of my other buddies have the same issues but it seems like microsoft likes to blame peoples network and not fix the software side of the application.
