Xbox One chat headset just stopped detecting my voice.

Hello,

I was in a party today with my friends and my mic was working perfectly. It got to around 19:00 and my friends told me my mic was making a weird noise, I responded asking what noise but they didn't reply. So i thought i'd take my mic out and put it back
in. I spoke but nobody responded but i could still here them so i thought they were just being ignorant, I checked the party and the little circle wasn't lighting up when I spoke. The little circle is there, indicating that the mic is connected. I can hear
everybody perfectly but its just my microphone that doesn't seem to be working. I also tried an old Chat Headset but that was just the same, I could hear fine but the mic wouldn't work.

Is it my controller that is broke?

Is there a solution to this?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Using kinect for voice and stereo headset at the same time

Hey guys,

Just moved to Peru a few weeks ago, brought along my Xbox One.

Stereo headset i have has stopped working (right headphone stopped working and mic)

Is it possible to use the headset for sound from party chat and the kinect for voice at the same time? I would like to avoid hearing party chat over the tv. I've tried just plugging it in and when it's plugged in the kinect stops picking up my voice.

Xbox day one headset issues

Hi, I'm looking for some help or even just other people's experience with the xbox one standard headset. I am currently on my third and it has just broken again. Basically the mic just seems to stop working. Has anyone else experienced this?

I hear no voice chat via the headset and when I try to test it in party chat the little green circle remains uni highlighted which I understand mean the mic is not detecting my voice. If I switch to kinetic, chat works but that's not ideal.

I've tried the basics making sure all controllers and xbox are up to date the mute button indicator is not highlighted. I've turned it off completely and unplugged it and checked my Nat settings.

I look after my xbox and other electrical equipment very well. Is it that the headset are just poorly made or am I doing something wrong with party chat/ in game chat.

Please help

Re: Miss Portia - I do not have another headset complete with a mic, but I have plugged in a quality pair of headphones. Game music/sound works fine but as usual no voice chat. The same is true for just my TV speakers, no voice chat plays there either.

Re: Insane54 - I do not have the connector cord for the controller to headset with the mic. From previous experience this does not stop the chat from being played, but it does significantly lower the volume. That's just what seemed to happen to me though.
If that stopped me from being able to hear in the headset I would accept it, but I can't hear it even on the TV

There are a few things that could be the issue.

1. The account settings are set so that the account is unable to use voice chat of any kind.

2. The headset you are using is not compatable with the controller, or the wire for the headset is broken in some way.

3. The port for the headset on the controller is broken or just isnt detecting the headset. For me personally i have this issue with my headset since for some reason using my sound mixer attachment on my controller mutes my headset. A simple unplug and repluging
of the headset fixes this issue.

My Xbox did not come with a headset, I don't know if it matters or not but I am using the Xbox One S and the headset I'm using is the Turtle Beach xo four stealth. Last night it started working then it stopped again, but worked the whole time when I was
in party and game chat. Also just a quick question am I not able to play music through the headset (using adapter) as a voice over? I saw a video about that as well last night.

i'm having this same issue... did anyone ever figure it out? Just yesterday, chat was coming through fine through my headset and now, even with my headset plugged in BEFORE I turn on my xbox one, all voice chat still comes through my TV. I can talk fine
on my mic and when I push volume up, I hear a beep through my headset, but for some reason the chat is just not coming through my headset.... NEED HELP! This is frustrating!
