    Xbox One Chat Headset Issues


    Hi all!

    First of all, this post is coming from my own personal experience, friends and customers I have dealt with myself.

    I work in Game retail store, and recently I have been noticing a massive problem with the Xbox One chat headset. Over the past 3 months since the February update. I have been getting more and more customers return headset because of the problem "I
    can hear my friends but they can't hear me    "

    Over the past three months we have had stock of Xbox one headset been switched out completely for faulty swap overs. The problem raised since the update, and even myself I have had to spend a headset off due to this problem.

    What has everyone's experience been with the chat headset? My own personal headset now is working fine, but I check everyday for controller updates just to make sure. I am really worried that again my headset is going to go, I was playing a big game of evolve
    with my friends when my headset stopped working before. I am kind of cautious to play big online games in case it does happen.

    I really hope Xbox find a fix to this problem sometime soon. And I hope we can all play online without worrying our chat headset are going to go.

    Glad to hear that your headset is working properly! If you run into Party Chat issues where you can hear your friends but they cannot hear you, I recommend checking out this
    thread. We are currently looking into this issue there. If this issue pops up, make sure to post in that thread and be sure to try the steps that Misses Quinzel has suggested. Thanks in advance!

    just so you know.....for when you DO run into this problem(because believe me, you most likely WILL), these "trouble shooting steps" that Miss Quiznel suggests are useless. They resolve/fix nothing, as you can see, if you read through that whole thread.

    Sorry to hear about the chat issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. Just to clarify, what headset are you experiencing the issue with? The Xbox One chat headset or the Xbox One stereo headset? If you are using the Xbox One
    chat headset, a good start would be trying the steps included on our Xbox One Chat Headset Troubleshooting Page. If you are using the Xbox One stereo headset,
    check out our Xbox One Stereo Headset Troubleshooting Page for some helpful steps.

    I also recommend trying your headset with a different controller to see if the issue continues to occur. Give the steps listed in our troubleshooting pages a try if you haven't already and let us know how it goes. Thanks!
