Xbox one chat headset issues

So whenever I try to use my headset that came included with the xbox one it always has some issues. Just yesterday I was trying to talk to my friend in my party and he could hear me talking into the headset but his voice would only go through the tv. Sometimes
my voice won't even go through the headset and I'm forced to talk loudly at my kinect just to communicate with my friends. I hope Microsoft can fix these issues that I and I'm sure other people are having with their headsets.

spent 5 hours on with support tring to fix a similar issue, try to "re sign in" hit home go to top left and "choose this person" again then see if it works.

Fighter, same here spent an hour on the phone with support. Found that signing out then back in. Fixes the mic issues. Looks like a bug in the auto sign in feature.

Been having the same issue. I found by turning the kinect mic off and keeping it off this doesn't happen anymore. It's inconvenient though because I like being able to unplug the headset when ever I want to use the kinect instead. This issue needs to be
fixed.

Sorry to hear about the chat issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. Just to clarify, what headset are you experiencing the issue with? The Xbox One chat headset or the Xbox One stereo headset? If you are using the Xbox One
chat headset, a good start would be trying the steps included on our Xbox One Chat Headset Troubleshooting Page. If you are using the Xbox One stereo headset,
check out our Xbox One Stereo Headset Troubleshooting Page for some helpful steps.

Chat headset page Once you've connected your Xbox One Chat Headset to your Xbox One Wireless Controller, you're ready to use it for in-game and party chat. That headset is essentially just to chat not in-game audio. Let us know if that helped!

Other than not aligning the prongs up, there are no issues.
