    Xbox one chat headset issue


    I have a Xbox One X console which I have bought a new controller for.

    The controller appears to be the one released with the Series X/S consoles in that it has the share button in the middle of the console.

    The controller works fine, however when I plug in my Xbox One chat headset, the audio works, I can hear the chat, but the mic doesn't.

    I've checked the headset with one of my old controllers and it works fine.

    Is there a fix I can apply so that the headset works properly with my new controller?

    Sorry to hear about the chat issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating that could be. Just to clarify, what headset are you experiencing the issue with? The Xbox One chat headset or the Xbox One stereo headset? If you are using the Xbox One
    chat headset, a good start would be trying the steps included on our Xbox One Chat Headset Troubleshooting Page. If you are using the Xbox One stereo headset,
    check out our Xbox One Stereo Headset Troubleshooting Page for some helpful steps.

    I also recommend trying your headset with a different controller to see if the issue continues to occur. Give the steps listed in our troubleshooting pages a try if you haven't already and let us know how it goes. Thanks!
