XBOX ONE Chat headset. Issue, Can hear but won't register my sound.

First off, yes I know other threads of the same topic are up but I don't want my post to be lost in those threads.

Issue: When plugged in, with the party app snapped I can see myself the mic symbol beside the lock symbol on the top right. I have no error messages in the snapped part app where it says my mic is not plugged in or nat issues. Everything in this app is fine.
The circle beside my tag is there but grey ( not lit)

In a party of 4. I can hear the 3 others but when I try to talk my circle does not light up like normal. Yes it is not muted, the obvious orange led light is turned off. I and many others know this simple task of unmuting the headsets.

How it happened: Good question. Well, here's the kicker. I have no idea. I played destiny while in party chat for a couple of hours in the early afternoon. Everything was fine. Took a break for an hour. Simply like always. Turned the xbox off and placed
my controller with mic down on my desk. I did not throw it down, I did not drop it down, I did not bend any wires, simple put I was not rough with any of the accessories.

After coming back from break I rejoin the party and people are having their conversations. I join in only to realize know one was responding to me. Hence noticing that the mic circle was not lighting up as I talked.

What did I try:

Hard reset, held power button down for a long time until it restarted

Tried 2 other controllers

Checked network diagnostics. Nat is perfect

Update console controller w/ mic, basically everything is at maxed update

Unplugged everything from the xbox and left it for half an hour

Assigned it to another profile to see if that had anything to do with it, nope

Am I missing something? How does a mic just stop working to full capacity just within a short hour?

Issue with Party Chat cutting on headset

Issue:

While playing Battlefield One sometimes chat stops working on my headset. I can still hear sound but no chat. If I pull out the headset I can hear the chat on my Kinnect. Plug back the headset and I hear the sound but no chat. This happens with multiple
controllers and headsets.

I have had this problem with the following configurations:

XBOX One Original Controller with Microsoft Chat Headset

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

New Xbox Controller with Kingston HyperX Cloud X head set

The chat works fine 85% of the time but when it cuts out I don't realize it for a while because I can still hear sound.

Pulling out the headset and plugging back in works very rarely but sometimes, but the chat usually cuts out again.

I figured it might be a network issue, perhaps latency but I recently hardwired the xbox and I still have the issue. I bought a new headset because I thought the XBOX Chat Headset was broken. I bought a new controller because i needed the 3.5 jack and
didn't want to buy an adapter for a 3rd of the price of a new controller.

Any help would be much appreciated.

No sound be sides party

i can't here game sound or Xbox sounds on my headset. I can only hear party and chat sounds. I could hear both at one point but now I cant. Please help

 

Yeah i Have had the exact same problem for over a week now i tried all the same methods to fixing it as you but nothing .

 

People are saying because of an update? Or the preview.

Well ok if that were the case how was it working 2 hours ago, took 1 hour break or so and then stopped working?

 

This has been posted for some time now. They say they are working on it but, don't hold your breath, From what I understand this will be fixed with Windows 10 release. (I find that hard to believe).

 

Happened to me too but wen i plug the jack in the adaper half way it makes noise but wen i speak it stops if i hit it make noise showing the mic is still good

 

My 3 mics the same thing happened I want a refund fr those three mics because I didn't break them

I'm having the problem where my thing isn't grey its lighting up and showing me talking but no one can hear me any thoughts on that?

But Skype lets me talk just fine on the Xbox

 

I had this issue and just sent my headset in but I have been waiting for over a week to get it back. I will probably be without a mic for another week or so considering I haven't even received an email about them getting it or when they will send a new one.
It just angers me that they know something is wrong with the headsets yet they aren't vigorously working on fixing it and that it is taking so long for them to send me a new fricking headset. I almost went out and bought a new one when I sent it in but didn't
because it wasn't suppose to take long. Looking back I should have just bought a new headset.

 

Ok Windows 10 is OUT were is the FIX for this. I am sick of this BS.

 

i have changed 3 xbox one and 5 pad 3 headset adapter and the problem exist again.....i am very sick i hate this problem......because if you buy a new xbox and a new adapter must be OK non faulty, i try everything i can wait MICROSOFT...to fix this problem...PEAOPLE
