    Xbox One Chat Headset Faulty ?


    i have a problem with my Xbox one chat headset. The one that comes with the console. It's not getting detected by the console whenever I plug it in. Nothing comes out of the speaker. The mute button doesn't change color and the buttons don't respond or do
    anything. I've update the controller, restarted the console. Any ideas if it's broken or

    Faulty Standard Chat Headset

    I have had 3 mics over the past 2 years. Every single one has broken the same way, despite my serious attention to care and respect that I treat my accessories, controllers, discs and consoles with.

    I can hear in an xbox live party, but my speaking goes in and out in and out in and out. I have done all the troubleshooting and have spoken to support each time this occurs.

    Since I have been out of the "90 days warranty" all 3 times - xbox has refused to send me a new one and/or let me send them my mic to show them it is a defect. They simply REFUSE and there only advice is to buy another one.

    Until Microsoft listens to us and helps us with our issues, we the consumers should show them that we will not take it.

    DO NOT BUY MICROSOFT MICS - my friends have the same problems and strongly recommend other mics. Not buying a 4th mic... lol nearly $100 dollars down the drain now.

    are there any other people in your household using a mic for party chat that could be a issue that is a very common one as well and another could be the wiring may be faulty in your headset if you are using a wired headset

    You have answered your own question.. "If I use the same headset and control but switch adapters I can chat instantly."

    Return one of the headsets with the faulty adapter, and get them exchanged (if you need 2 sets).

    Based on the information that you provided, it's possible that the microphone on your headset is faulty. For you to isolate this issue, I suggest that you use another headset on your computer and try joining another party chat in the Xbox app. If the microphone
    in that headset works fine, then we can confirm that the microphone that you're currently using is faulty and may need to replace.
