Xbox one chat and 360 game issues

As others have said in this thread, Microsoft have confirmed Xbox 360 and ONE users won't be able to chat but can still send messages.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. We understand that launching a backwards compatible game is causing the party chat to go silent. I'm not sure why that would cause an issue like this, but I know where we can start troubleshooting.

First thing id like you to try out would be redownloading your profile using the 360 emulator on the Xbox one. Follow these steps:

1. Launch a backwards compatible game on the Xbox one
2. Press the Start and select buttons at the same time. This should bring up the 360 guide menu
3. Locate "Manage Storage"
4. Locate your gamertag and remove it
5. From the Xbox 360 guide menu, download your profile using your email and password to your gamertag

This is awesome. The one hesitation for me about bringing World of Tanks to the Xbox One was fracturing the player base, and cross-platform gaming between the One and 360 makes that a non-issue.

It will be interesting to see how they handle the in-game chat.

Thanks for your help, but neither works. As i say its just stuff pertaining to the Xbox 360. I can play 360 games on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox one, but can't do multiplayer or access 360 DLC, though I can play 360 games that i've downloaded. I can be connected to Xbox Live on the Xbox one, but as soon as i try to play a 360 games I am disconnected It's most frustrating as one can't speak/use chat directly to Microsoft regarding the issue.
