Xbox One changes it's own power state

Hey, so here is my problem. My system seems to work fine however I've noticed that every day and a half or so, my power supply light and Xbox one go from instant on mode and a white light, to power save and an orange light without me doing anything. This
is the third time so I figure its not an anomaly. I guess my question is whether or not this is a new feature or if my system or supply unit is dying slowly perhaps? I saw that it was in instant on mode and "white" for a night and all of the next day, however
the following night into the following morning it changed to orange at some point while I was sleeping and shut down completely. Wake up today and it's orange again? I know I didn't change the power settings, so what is left for me to do? Up until this point
my Xbox one was always left in instant on mode and there were no issues so I'm starting to worry a little bit! Sorry for the ramble but is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Above is where you will find more about the powering on/off of xbox one and how to change it. You are using instant on which will run the console in a low powered state, it's not possessed lol.

I also started to notice that, since my last XBOX ONE update from this morning (17/06/2017).

Is this for Wifi-direct capabilities ? where we can setup this ? (ex: password ?).

 

I just began noticing the same issue over the last couple of days. And the power box makes a lot of noise when its white

 

Are you connect to a power bar or a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Please check if the plug is correctly sitting in the outlet. Is your PSU making any strange noises?

 

Hey, thanks for the reply. Yeah so the plug upon closer inspection is actually half in and half out of the outlet

Hopefully this is all what is wrong. (I feel really stupid now!) However I don't know how it came loose? Either way ill say that this is probably resolved now and if it continues into the future I'll write back. Thanks for the help/common sense. lol
