  1. xbox one CD Drive replacement problem

i am replacing another Xbox one original cd drive i have put the pcb from the old drive case and put it in the new on but after i did this its still not wanting to read cds. now i had a brand new spare pcb from the previous xbox i had to fix the cd drive
with also. so i put the new one in the new cd drive case and it works but sence the motherboard isnt married (paired) to the cd drive pcb it wont read the games only audio cds with the error 0x11 and when u try to play the game it comes up with ERROR: 0x8b100041
so im guessing the pcb is bad. so my question is does anyone know how i can reflash the xbox so that way the new cd drive pcb can be repaired to the Xbox motherboard

    :)

    cd drive problem xbox one

Errmmm...I would suggest calling support and see if they have anything they can do on their end. I doubt the manually ejecting a disc process would work on this. Good luck OP

Repairing your own console is not something that is supported.

    Hi Caleb,

Thanks for reaching out to us with this question. Essentially, we don't recommend replacing any hardware on the console outside of official means as the original hardware is required for full functionality and non-official parts can cause issues with the
functionality of the device. This is also integral to the performance of the software in relation to recognizing the correct hardware installed into the device.

Hope you find the information helpful.

Self repair is against the code of conduct and could result in your console being permanently banned if Microsoft detects it.

Xbox one does not start up game.

When you try to play a game, DVD, CD, etc., what is the exact error code you are receiving?

Anyways, here is the support page for troubleshooting problems playing discs on an Xbox One:

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-one/console/disc-error#394c9039a5274c0eb6dda661e1d8db7f

If there is a grinding sound, then it's possible the disc drive is defective and needs to be replaced. How old is your console? If it's fairly new, then exchange it at the store. If it's older, then your options are to send it into Microsoft for

    repair
or try replacing the drive yourself (which I don't suggest).
