Xbox One can't start in safemode

    Xbox One can't start in safemode


    I've done this a bunch of times without any problems, but now I can't boot in safemode to do a factory reset. I unplugged everything for 5 minutes, plug back in, and hold the power and bind buttons for way longer than needed in the past to get the second beep, but I can't get the second beep now no matter how long I continue to hold them.

    I seriously doubt any COD kid is gonna get this guy infected with something that will prevent him from unplugging his PC from the internet, running in safemode and finding it. I'm starting to suspect the OP is just a troll.

    This happened to me too. Once it's on, try holding the eject and power button at the same time until it powers off, then it will restart in "safemode" and should display once again.

    None of the apps in question are on startup. This behaviour only began being exhibited after the x-box app for gamepass was installed.

    Copy pasta generic troubleshooting won't help with this case.

    Safemode does not rectify the issue. When terminating Xbox process tree, it also terminates the child process that is the other game applicaiton. The Xbox app is directly responsible for launching the child process.

    Hi bro, probably is too late but I had to go into safemode with no internet and into C:\WindowsApps\MSIXVC

    and deleted all three of these files, the first one had the 70 GB's but figured the ones with similar names had to be removed as well. after that just restarted and tried again and it worked.
