Xbox one can't play online

Can anyone help? have a new xbox one, have used a code for 14 days xbox live trial - it accepted the code, although didn't show up in my subscriptions - tried a 2day trial code that i get with Dragon Age - it also appeared to accept the code but still isn't
showing up in my subscriptions. However, if i go to download the "games free with gold", it lets me download them free, so i seem to have xbox live.

But if i try to play Dragon Age Inquisition Multiplayer online, although it worked a couple of times on the first day, since then i just get a server unavailable message. If i try to play Master Chief Collection online, i get a "you are not connected to
xbox live" error, if i try the Destiny Trial, i get a variety of error messages but all to do with not having an internet connection. My xbone is online, i am downloading games, watching twitch etc, signed in to xbox live - but cannot play any of these games
online.

I don't have any other online games to try, and dont' want to waste money buying one only to find i can't play online.

My nat varies between moderate and open. I can play a PS3, Wii-U, 3DS online no problem - but cannot use my new xbox one online at all now.

Would be really grateful for any advice.

just got my Xbox one today, trying to play online, when I try too , a screen pops up and says , the current profile is not allowed to play on Xbox live, not sure what to do ?

I was recently banned from playing online, but now the ban is over. But I still can't play online

You appear to be silver you need to be gold to play online. Were you logged in when you put in those codes

 

Goto your setting on xbox and subscription it should say there but I have read a few threads on here about codes not working for people

 

You can't stack trial codes anymore....i believe its one code per tag now cause trials are meant to try live not pay for your whole sub

 

I have had the xbox 2 days - i put in the 14 day code 2 days ago - managed to play twice on dragon age, but not again - i looked at my subscriptions today, and saw nothing, only the option to pay for gold. So i tried putting in the 2 day trial - it accepted
the code - but under subsciptions still has nothing listed.

I dont' get a message saying "You need xbox live gold" or anything - i get "you are not connected to xbox live" on master chief collection, or "servers not available" on dragon age Inquisition - or various network related codes or just "no internet connection"
on Destiny trial.

How can you tell i am silver? where do u look to see that?

My xbox is connected and works fine for twitch, downloading, youtube etc.

 

Gold trials will not change your account status to gold, so you will still show as silver. When you post on the forums, your gamertag will show as silver or gold depending on the type of subscription you have.

Some trials will only work for the games they were made for. Also, if you're trying to play ranked matches it will not work.

 

Look at your gamer tag above your photo its in silver everyone else is gold

 

Well i'm confused now. I have changed nothing, just decided to try playing online - and for some reason today it works - i have just played dragon age mulitplayer online, and master chief collection multiplayer online.

I still have nothing showing my subscriptions, and my gamertag appears silver, but i'm online right now playign halo combat evolved.

 

Like smwutches said above, if you are using a trial it wont appear in subscriptions and your name will appear silver on the forums. Once you have a paid subscription, it will show in subscriptions and your name will be gold on the forums.
