Xbox One - Can't get 360 games with gold games in July

There is NO error code on either xbox or the xbox one store. Again the message simply reads "Sorry Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again.

As for regional settings those have been checked and confirmed to be right by 2 Xbox phone support reps and several chat support reps. They are the language I speak, the area and time zone I am actually in. They are 100% accurate.

 

I realize it may not have been totally clear so to state it as plainly as possible the regional settings are correct and match on both the console and my microsoft/xbox account.

The problem is very likely that your physical location does not match the region of your Xbox Live account. Tron Evolution is IP address locked based on the region of the Xbox Live account. In other words, at the moment of confirming the "purchase", your
IP address must correlate to the region of your Xbox Live account.

 

Xbox phone support has reviewed that information several times now and confirmed each time that all the regional info on my account and console does in fact match my real physical location.

 

Is Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 also region locked? That game presented the SAME error message for the first 15 days of July.

 

Yes. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is also IP locked in the same way. In fact, quite a selection of Games on Demand for Xbox 360 are either IP address locked (described above) or region locked (the region of the digital game from the marketplace - NTSC, NTSC/J or
PAL - must match the region of the console).

In order to really check the region of your account yourself, go to this link: live.xbox.com/accountmigration and observe in your address bar, of the Internet browser, what country and language automatically appears between ".com/" and "accountmigration".
Just in case, you should also check the region of your IP address at whatismyipaddress.com .

That Account Migration page you've linked to loads for me and on the first page it states "You can only move between Xbox Live regions once every 3 months." So I'm clicking next, and on the 2nd page it says "Select the region you’re moving your account
to:" I'm in Canada and I speak English so I'm selecting that, when I click the "I Accept" button the website says "There’s a problem completing your move right now. Please check the Region Change Support Page to make sure it will work for you, and try again
later. "

 

BTW whatismyipaddress.com shows the correct ISP and city name.

I'm in the city of Sudbury in the province of Ontario in the Country of Canada and I'm in Eastern time zone.

Again all of that is accurate on my Xbox account, I will however try again later today to "migrate" my account to the region I am already in on that website but this morning it does not work.

 

Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the region info that as you said "magically" appears in the URL is "en-CA"

You're not supposed to perform any migration (besides, migrating your account to Canada, when your account is already in the Canada region, of course won't work). I just asked for what appeared in the link and I can see that it matches with your physical
location.

In this case, it would be pretty hard to diagnose the problem without access to an Xbox 360 console. On console, upon confirming the purchase and failing, it would show you an error code that could help in understanding the issue.

I didn't get Tron until just a few minutes ago. I live in a country where Xbox Live is not officially supported and I have my account created in the US region. Upon attempting to get Tron with my normal usual IP address, it would give me the same error message
you've been seeing, however upon connecting to a US VPN, hence assigning me a US IP address, the "purchase" went through just fine.

Assuming that you do not have any billing issues (and it seems you don't since earlier you said you managed to buy PvZ for the 360), I would tend to believe that for some reason the Xbox system, as stupid as it sounds, wrongly identifies your region based
on your IP address. Just to completely get the IP address possibility out of the way, you can attempt to acquire another Canadian IP address through a VPN. I will send you a private message about how to do this.

If that still doesn't work, I'm simply out of ideas.

 

Just out of curiosity can you please post which country you live in and confirm that your gamertag is set for the same country?
