Xbox One - Can't get 360 games with gold games in July

So I've gotten every previous 360 games with gold game since backwards compatibility started but this month I'm unable to get Rainbox 6 or Tron.

I have an Xbox One and a year long prepaid Gold account that expires in December of this year.

When I try to get Tron: Evolution through the xbox store on the One OR on xbox.com/gameswithgold I get the following error "Sorry Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."

I'm posting this here on the advice of an xbox.com support rep.

Rainbow 6 is no longer available as a free Games with Gold title but we're happy to offer support with Tron. Do you currently have a billing option tied to your Xbox Live account? To "purchase" Xbox 360 titles you do need a valid payment option.

 

Yes I believe a valid credit card is on file.

 

Just to try it, I've deleted the card that was on file and added a completely different type of credit card and still get the SAME issue.

Do you have an Xbox 360 by any chance or can use a friend's X360? I'd highly advise you to try it from there to make sure there are less issues. Also you may try to remove your card (if possible) and try to get it from there.

P.S Xbox 360 consoles won't require you to put CC/Paypal to redeem GWG.

 

I sold my 360 the day backwards compatibility was announced.

In the time since then everyone I know (and more importantly TRUST) that had one has also sold it.

So unfortunately I have no way of doing this on an Xbox 360.

 

To see if it would work I just bought 2 DLC add-ons for Castle Crashers, which is an Xbox 360 game.

Both purchases went through successfully.

I am now trying to get Tron again and am still getting the same "Sorry Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again" message.

 

I am trying a download of an Xbox One demo and so far it seems to be working, 6% done downloading. The game is titles Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO Demo Mexico.

I don't think 360 demos are available on Xbox One, if they are someone please let me know where to find them in the marketplace on an Xbox One, I'll happily try one.

Also I can purchase 360 games, I just bought the 360 game Plants vs. Zombies.

 

I have also removed and added back my xbox account to the machine with no change.

 

Hey pete8475! Along with the error message you are receiving, are you getting an error code? Possibly down to the bottom left or right of the error message. Post back and let me know and I will look into this!

 

Ok so I've had issues with getting 360 games to work. With Rainbow Six I was unable to complete the purchase, and with Tron I was able to purchase but the game wouldn't show up in my install list. Both problems were solved with fixing the region settings.
Make sure your console and your Xbox Live account have the same region/location. It should solve it. There might also be a glitch on occasion with the location setting. Check what the browser tab of the xbox home page says.
