Xbox One can't detect wifi

Discus and support Xbox One can't detect wifi in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; My Xb1 can't find any wifi networks. Wired connection is the only way for me to connect.     Xbox One can't detect wifi


    My Xb1 can't find any wifi networks. Wired connection is the only way for me to connect. Every now and then my xb1 can use wifi, but it doesn't last long. It always ends up disconnecting and not finding networks again. How do I fix this?

    Hey Ztxi,

    Not a problem at all, there are a few different things we can try that may just kick your xbox into gear and get it working properly.

    Firstly, I would try power cycling your xbox to see if that helps. You can do this by, firstly ensuring the xbox is on, then holding down the xbox button on the front of your machine for 10seconds. Turn it back on once that is done, and see if that has fixed
    the issue.

    Next, I would suggest also restarting your modem. You can do this by powering it off (completely) for 30second, and then turning it back on. Jump on the xbox, and see if that worked.

    Lastly, if you are using a third party wireless headset, then I woudl reccomend disconnecting that and trying again. As they can cause interference between the xbox and modem.

    Finally, go through this link and go through the troubleshooting steps and it will suggest what you should do if all else fails:

    Also, on that link I provided, its also worth clicking 'yes' to the first two questions, and then going from there, as that will provide you with some further suggestions as to what can be causing it. If that STILL doesn't work, start the questions again
    from that link and see what outcome is then provided.

    Tried all that but nothing works. I can only play on wired, which kinda sucks because I can't use my monitor in my room.

    Thats not good to hear at all Xbox One can't detect wifi :( Unfortunately the only option left that I am aware of is to have the console sent in for repair, as there could be an issue with the internal wireless adaptor may be faulty. Unless someone else can chime in with some more
    suggestions.

    This does not work. I have tried doing this.

    Just wanted to clarify again that my Xbox detect every other Wifi network, but does not detect a mobile hotspot wifi.

    Error: Cannot connect to wireless network.

    I can't access other people's wifi networks when my Xbox detects them, so I put the USB stick in on of the USB ports in the back and usually it will connect me.

    Are you using WiFi for connecting to Xbox Live..?? WiFi does kick in & test, when on the Splash Screen & it might be waiting after WiFi Checks, until it syncs controllers..

    (If it doesn't have an Ethernet Cable Detected etc..)
