Xbox one can't connect to router

Hello I need help with my Xbox one it can't connect to my router. It's strange because my Xbox 360 can but my Xbox one can't. And I am looking at my Xbox ones current network status and it shows the nat type open but says service info is unvailable. ive
tried restarting my Xbox and my router nothing has worked

Can't connect to my router

my xbox one won't connect to my router. Every time I attempt to i get a message saying "Can't connect to your wireless network". As a result I can't even use the "test network connection" feature, because the Xbox won't connect to the router in the first
place.

Everything getting usual internet except Xbox One

I'm actually a bit confused on how you have it connected.

You normally connect your router to the modem then for wired you connect an Ethernet cable to one of the Ethernet ports on the router.

Can't you leave the router connected to the modem then connect the router to one of the wall outlets via Ethernet. then connect the xbox to the wall outlet in your room?

Hi CocitoElMaldito,

That error generally means you cannot connect to Xbox Live. Are you plugged in via Ethernet cable or are you wireless? If you're wireless can you please plug into your router with a cable to see if it works? Also please run through this network connection
solution, and let us know where you get hung up.

Hey thanks and I have it wireless but i tried it with a Ethernet cable and it works. But every time I try connecting wirelessly it keeps telling me It can't find my IP address I have tried entering it manually as well and still no luck

How far is your xbox one console from your wireless router? There might be a lot of interference and so the Xbox One console can't connect properly to the router?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting your console to your router. I understand that it does not work on Ethernet and Wi-Fi. As part of our isolation, please try to clear your MAC address.

To clear your MAC address and restart your console, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system, then Settings.

In the General tab, select Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

Sign in to your console.

Only certain routers can do what you are trying to do and you can't use a DMZ or forwarding to fix it, it has to be the right router and right firmware:-

You can't not with a switch. If you want two Xboxes to be able to join the same Xbox live games with an open NAT you'll need a compatible router if you are looking to buy a new router for that purpose have a look at this:-
