: Xbox One cannot detect my wifi connection
I got a new router about 3 months ago, and haven't got the chance to play on my Xbox for quiet some time. Recently, I turned on my Xbox and tried to wirelessly connect it to my new router. However, the Xbox One won't detect my wifi SSID even though they
are placed quite close to each other (on either side of a wall) . I tried to power cycle both the router and the Xbox, reset the router and checked if MAC filtering was on (it wasn't). The Xbox is able to detect other wifi connections in the neighborhood and
even can connect through my mobile hotspot but specifically not my wifi connection. I tried to bring the router over to the Xbox to establish a wired ethernet connection and it worked, however I wish to connect my xbox wirelessly because I cannot keep my router
next to the Xbox. Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.
