    I'm in need of assistance here brand new Xbox One game disc not working as in not being read properly by the console to even be able to be installed or even shown that it's inside the disc tray, but got old as 4/5 years or so Xbox 360 games and there disc
    seem to install play and load all fine and dandy what's wrong here anyone? Disc drive faulty or something?

    Disc Installation Problem

    Hi everyone,

    I have an harsh problem with my TWO xbox One. (the first one is "day one" edition, the second one is an "xbox one S" Model):

    I cannot install disc anymore.

    PROBLEM:

    Installation stops at 0/1% and I can't do anything for solve that problem.

    I've tried several solutions among which going offline and install the disc, soft reset xbox, plug off alimentation cable and retry, HARD RESET without deleting APP and GAMES, change the IP, DNS.

    After all I cannot install discs on my consoles.

    My consoles READ PERFECTLY BLU RAY, DVD's, MUSIC CDs etcetc...

    I can play other games.

    I'm tired and down.

    Please tell me what to do.

    Playing Atari Anthology on xbox 360 kinect

    hello, from what I've read on these forumns I should be able to play this game. I have an xbox 360 slim harddrive, but the game will not install. I'm asked to download the game again, but I have a disc. I've read that I should have a button to install
    but I only get install or eject. I have tried two different copies of the game with same results. Is there a difference between an orginal xbox 360 harddrive and an xbox 360 s harddrive?

    Hi

    If the console is able to read alternate discs you are using it would suggest that there is something wrong with the new disc you have purchased and you would need to take it back to where you purchased it from and request they replace it for you.

    To confirm if it's a faulty disc as I suspect do you have any other disc based Xbox One games available you can try to see what happens.

    The xbox 360 i have will read and play any DVD but it will not play any games. I've downloaded the updates and installed them successfully. No games working at all, won't read the game disc and always switches back to play DVD.

    Can you help?

    4GB Slim 09' run stopped playing games from disks.

    This sounds like your disc drive is not working properly and you need to have it repaired. The reason you cannot play installed games is because the disc drive needs to read the disc (reason you have to have it in your disc drive) to verify you have the
    game and it will then play it off your harddrive. The xbox one does not play 360 games or xbox live content, so if you want to play anything you currently have, you will need to repair or purchase a new 360

    The disc still is reading when you're playing the game, even if it's installed on your system (requirement on Xbox One). When you start downloading/installing a game, it won't download when the console is off. This was the SAME on the Xbox 360; you had to
    have your Xbox on to download any games. Don't worry about the wear and tear, it running like that won't hurt the Xbox, they are made for that.
