    Xbox one can hear but cannot talk


    I have been having an issue where i am able to hear my friends through my headset but am unable to be heard by anyone. I have a sennheiser urbanite headset.

    I have troubleshot basically all the options including using different controllers different headsets and factory resetting my xbox. I am not muted nor banned and have no idea whats going on

    Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with your friends not hearing you.

    I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting articles:


    If the problem persists:

    • Try your Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working.
    • Try using a Headset Adapter for compatibility issues.
    • Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
      updating the first controlleragain.

    Try this out and let us know the results.

    Your microphone might not be working, but I recommend going to your audio setting and changing your audio output.
