Xbox One Bye Geert sign in using a controller! - MADDENING-

Hey everyone,

For a couple of weeks nog I have an issue with Xbox Live / my Xbox one account. Occasionally my xbox signs my profile out in the middle of a game, which causes it to go straight to dashboard. Right after I can just log in and start playing again, it's really
irritating.

It justed happened an hour ago, logged back in again and checken the connection on the Xbone, which says it's all good and no problems are found. I've checked my live account aswell if there are any suspicious log-in actions, which there are not.

On numerous occasions I've reset my password: Did not help

I've redownloaded my account on the Xbone: Did not help

I've reset my router: Did not help

I've factory reset my Xbox One: Did not help.

I would sure appreciate some help with this, as it's maddening, really really irritating.

Xbox One signs out profile, asked to sign in using a controller

This hasn't helped ! I've been having this problem for weeks and I'm about to stop using my xbox and just buy red dead for ps 4. 5 different missions I almost complete and I get this sign in using controller thing. I know these issues arnt causing it cause
it happens to my roommates account too and he has never had another xbox or account except for the one one my xbox. Please fix!

Sorry to hear it. This is happening for one of two reasons.

1. There's a corruption in your gamertag. To fix this you would need to delete your gamertag then power cycle the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds till it shuts down. The redownload the game with the console restarts.

2. Your gamertag is on another console and is signed in from time to time by someone on that console. To fix this you would either need to physically remove your gamertag from any console it may be on or change your email and/or password at
account.microsoft.com to force a sign in of your gamertag on all consoles.

 

I’ve had the same thing happen to me but that was when there were actual service alerts going on with XBL. I thunk there should be a feature that if you’re getting disconnected you should have up to five minutes or so to get your current game saved.

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand it is frustrating since the account keeps getting signed out and it says to sign in with the controller. I would recommend changing the batteries in the controller. Afterwards, set up the controller with the instant
sign-in mode.

To change this setting:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings
3. Under Kinect & devices, Select Devices & accessories >
   . . .
4. Assign controller to profile of choice.

This can be done under Account > Sign-in, Security & Passkey > This controller signs in, as well.

Give this a try and let us know if this helps

 

I really don't think the problem is in the controller as it stays connected all the time. But I will try.

relate to this issue and understand it can be irritating.

I recommend taking a look at the following troubleshooting article: "My
Xbox One is getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live".

• How are you connected to the network? (Ethernet or Wireless connection)

Try this and let us know the results.

 

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I found the problem was a faulty network switch. Tried my old (but slower) one and problem was gone in an instant. So I'll be looking for a new switch.
