  1. Xbox One Buying in the Us to bring back to Ireland

    Hi.

I was wondering if there would be any problems encountered if i were to but an Xbox one in the US and brought it back to Ireland.

    eg: do the games work?

Do i need a different PSU?

Are there settings to be changed?

    Will the Xbox work?

    :)

  2. Any problems with buying an Xbox one from the US to bring to the UK

I'm currently on holiday in the US and looking at buying myself an Xbox one S to bring back home to the UK. I was just wondering if there would be any problems with me doing this? I know that I would need to buy an adapter to plug in back home. But any other
issues such as using the Xbox live and store or downloading games?

    Thanks

There shouldn't be any issues, you'd just have to switch the consoles location to the UK to access the UK's marketplace.

    Xbox

Your US Xbox will work in the UK with the correct adapter. Check the Xbox power box and make sure it says it can take 240 volts which im pretty sure it can (My UK Xbox can take 110V for the US so im guessing they are all generic). If so then its just the
actual plug adapter you need. Other wise you need a UK power box which you can get here. The connection on the Xbox itself is the same on the UK and US models and as far as im aware the only actual difference is the final cable that goes from the power box
    to the wall.

    Xbox Live

Xbox live however is a bit different. I have both a UK and a US Xbox live account. Both work in the UK for playing games over HOWEVER due to copyright restrictions you will find that you WONT be able to get access to the US Video content even with a US account.
The content is still there but you get a message saying you can't download the selection from outside the US. You CAN however buy games and download game content. You can add microsoft points with a CC or Debit card registered to a US address not UK address
on a US account, however I have found that buying points cards in the UK and adding them to the US account does also work and will show up on your generic microsoft points account for use over such things as the Zune market place etc. This is for the old xbox
interface experience. I don't know if after the 19th Nov the way xbox live works will change. It should be noted that the netflix through xbox live will almost certainly NOT work in the new live in the UK and the UK does not have an equivalent for streaming.
The UK live does have movie rentals and all the same game content as the US version but does not have any TV or music content... for the moment.

Also, does anyone know of any service that sends games when they come out here internationally?

    Games

You will find that there are a selection of games that are region free but for the most part you wont be able to get UK games to play on your US Xbox. Amazon.com will ship Xbox games to the UK but it can be expensive! You can also try Gamestation in the
UK. This is one of the leading game stores which also imports. Again this can be expensive. As far as game rentals go, in the UK Lovefilm.com is the equivalent of Netflix.com but without streaming of movies. They do however rent Xbox games or any other console
game except PC games along side DVD/ Bluray. It works in the same way as renting DVD's (which is also identical to the way Netflix works) and you can get unlimited packages that have unlimited games and dvd's. They dont stock US region games though!

To be honest if you're buying a lot of US games and getting them imported you might end up being cheaper to buy the basic Xbox 360 console for £129.99 right now in the UK and transfer your HD over onto it.

Does XBOX ONE purchased in US work in Europe w/o limitations?

does anyone know if its the same for Ireland, im going home soon and want to buy an xbox one in the US because it saves me a decent bit of money. im just wondering if the games i buy in Ireland will work on a US Xbox one? As i've heard there was trouble

Has any one in Ireland got their xone delivered by UPS yet??????????

The fact of the matter is that it is inexcusable that the consoles were still even in the UK yesterday. Personally one of the reasons I ordered directly from MSI was because I thought that they would bring them in to Ireland prior to the launch, and then
ship them to us on the day. This whole thing could have easily been avoided had they done that.

I also don't buy the customs line as it strikes me as a bit of a cop out excuse. My package, as with many, originated in Tamworth, where there was apparently a large fire at a plastics factory yesterday which impacted traffic heavily in the area. I reckon
that had an impact on the deliveries, it can't not have, but customs between the UK and Ireland...give me a break. But again, all this should, and easily could, have been avoided by bringing the consoles over to Ireland earlier.
